The narrative revolves around three central characters: Ryan Sanders (Rossif Sutherland), a sniper in the Canadian Forces; Captain Pete Mitchell (Paul Gross), an intelligence officer; and the enigmatic Afghan warrior known only as “The Ghost” (Neamat Arghandabi).

The story begins with Ryan Sanders and his sniper team being ambushed by insurgents while on a mission to clear Hyena Road. They are saved by an unexpected local ally, who later turns out to be “The Ghost,” a legendary mujahideen fighter with a complex past.
